While association memberships are not insurance, they are often required to access supplemental or short term medical group insurance. However, you are not obligated to purchase any insurance or additional membership plans to become a member. This flexibility allows you to choose the benefits that best suite your needs without unnecessary commitments.

Beyond the benefits included with HAA Membership, additional benefits are optionally available to HAA members through a variety of supplemental or short term medical insurance insurance and benefit programs, whereby members can choose to enroll in the benefits(s) that best suit them for an additional monthly fee.
Various insurance companies have issued group insurance policies with the Healthy America Association as the group master policyholder, so that the coverage provided by each policy is available only to members of the association. For this reason, optional supplemental or short term medical insurance programs that include one or more of these group insurance benefits are available for enrollment to HAA members only. If you're not a HAA member and would like to enroll in any such program that includes group insurance benefits, concurrent enrollment is permitted for your convenience: if you're enrolling in HAA Membership you can simultaneously enroll in any programs that require membership.
Insurance benefits are available through optional enrollment in supplemental insurance programs only. The benefits included in HAA Membership itself are non-insurance benefits. Additionally, not all supplemental benefit programs offered by HAA include insurance benefits exclusively; some include insurance benefits and non-insurance benefits, and some include non-insurance benefits only.
Enrolling in the Healthy America Association does not require purchasing or enrolling in any additional supplemental or short term medical insurance or benefit programs. While HAA membership is necessary to enroll in any supplemental or short term medial insurance programs that include group insurance benefits, all supplemental benefit programs offered by HAA are optional, and none are required to become a HAA member. Membership in HAA is not required for individual insurance: individual supplemental insurance, short term medical insurance or vision insurance programs.

The availability of HAA membership benefits and services, as well as the availability of optional supplemental benefit programs, may vary by state.
HAA's refund policy is designed to provide members with flexibility and satisfaction. If you are not fully satisfied with your HAA benefits asnd services, you may cancel your membership and receive a refund, provided the cancellation occurs within the first thirty (30) days of enrollment. It's imporatnt to not that any premiums and dues paid cannot be refunded if a claim was filed, particularly if you were enrolled in an additional supplemental plan that included group or individual insurance. Note: Short Term Medical Insurance, if added to membership, only has a ten (10) day free-look period for refunds as long as no claims were filed.

Healthy America Association does not require members to enroll or purchase any group or individual insurance to become a member of HAA. The optional association group insurance is only available to members of HAA who have the desire to enhance their membership. All group association insurance offered through HAA does not provide major medical or comprehensive medical coverage and is not designed to replace traditional major medical insurance like ACA. Further, the insurance coverage available is not minimum essential benefits as set forth under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Membership includes multiple non-insurance services and benefits, including access to insurance products. All plan descriptions above are based on a broad overview of the majority of state's coverage available in the plan. Some coverage amounts or coverage availability may vary by state. Always review the state specific Certificate of Insurance or Policy for each plan to determine coverage benefits, availability, terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions. If there are any discrepancies between the descriptions above and the Certificate(s), Policy(s) and Membership Guide(s), the Certificate(s), Policy(s) and Membership Guide(s) will govern.
